forest, we are in close proximity to the headquarters of the Sakyapa sect of Tibetean Buddhism. There are a plethora of Ashrams;
like Ramakrishna Mission, Anandmayee Ashram, Bal Yogi Ashram, Aurobindo Ashram and the Sai Baba Temple within walking
distance. Dehradun is the capital city of the newly formed state of Uttarakhand. But here you will be away from the hustle
and bustle of a capital city, yet just five miles from the city center. Dehradun is also a major gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas.
Hindus usually start their pilgrimage (Char Dham Yatra) from here. Dehradun is the home of some of the most prestigious schools
of India such as The Doon School and Welham Girls' School.
